Late Tuesday, Northwestern University announced it will be closing the Chicago and Evanston campuses for Wednesday, February 2nd. Only certain vital personnel will be required to report. The closing is due to the memorable blizzard, which has already dropped over 10 inches of snow as of midnight and is producing wind gusts up to 60 mph in Chicago. The closing is the first of its kind by Northwestern since January 15th, 1979.
More to come on the issue.
